From BBC sponsored living history days to British Archeology Week, the Museum of Gloucester and Gloucester Life Museum have a diverse range of events and at both Museums that run throughout the year, and 2017 is no exception!

Richard III Festival

Museums After Hours
This season welcomes a series of ‘after hours’ opening for the museums, allowing visitors to experience the magic of a late-night visit as the nights draw in. Come along and bring the family for an interesting late-night visit to either the Museum of Gloucester or Gloucester Life Museum, you never know what you might find! FREE admission for museum members, general admission charges apply.

Behind the Scenes Tours of the Museum of Gloucester
Delve into the unseen world of behind the scenes at the Museum of Gloucester.
£10 per person (maximum of 6 people per tour). Tickets available online or from the museum itself.

Behind the Scenes Tour of the Gloucester Life Museum building
Grab this chance to see areas of this beautiful Tudor building not usually seen by the public. Visit the costume store, venture down into one of the three basements, and come face to face with a dragon beam!
