Residents weekend a huge success

This year's Gloucester Residents weekend has been a huge success at both the City and Folk Museums. With almost 900 visitors on the Saturday alone, and over 150 people booking their place on the specially arrange Curatorial talks, it's certainly been a hive of activity at both Museums.

Folk Tearooms now re-opened with brand new menu

Description
The Folk Museums Tearooms have re-opened and are now open for business once again, along with a brand new menu to offer. The new menu of freshly made soups, toasted teacakes, afternoon cream teas, and a whole host of fresh fillings for jacket potatoes, sandwiches and baguettes, there is plenty of choice for everyone. Culture Club talks for March and April

Description
The Culture Club sessions planned for March and April 2013 promise to continue with some interesting topics, after the success of the story of the ships graveyard at Purton in February, we follow with an informative talk about our eight-legged friends - the British spiders, and ending our first part of the year with a great story about the infamous Barnsley brothers - leading lights in the Cotswolds Arts and Crafts Movement.

Oil painting collections now available to view online
