Opening Times

Both the Museum of Gloucester and the Gloucester Life Museum are open on the following dates and times;

Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 5pm

The Museum of Gloucester will also be  open from 11am – 4pm on the following  Sundays:

23rd & 30th July, 

6th, 13th,20th & 27th August 

3rd & 10th  September.

The Museum of Gloucester will also be open on the following Mondays that fall within Gloucestershire school holidays:

24th July, 31st July, 7th August, 14th

August, & 21st August 

The Museums will close for the Christmas period on Saturday 16th  December, and will re-open on  Tuesday 2nd January 2018.

All visitors qualify for FREE unlimited general admission to both the Museum of Gloucester and Gloucester Life Museum for an entire year - for the price of just one admission ticket!

 Admission Prices

 Entry to the shops and cafes: FREE

Adults:£5.00

Concessions:£3.00

Family (up to 2 adults 5 children): £12.00

Children Under 5 FREE

Concessions include adults over 60, children between 5 and 17, students, persons in receipt of Housing and Council Tax benefit.

Under 16s to be accompanied by an adult.

A family group must include at least one child.

 .Gloucester Museums Pass

An annual pass is now available that gives access to all four of Gloucester's city centre museums for a whole year after purchase.  The pass is available to purchase at any of the four museums themselves, or at the Tourist Information Centre on Southgate Street.  

The pass is £10 for an individual, or £20 for a family (of up to 2 adults and 3 children).

The four museums that this pass gives access to all year round are the Museum of Gloucester, the Gloucester Life Museum, the Waterways Museum, and the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum.
