This autumn welcomes the hotly anticipated 'WOW Rugby!' exhibition open in the City Museum Touring Gallery.  The exhibition features lots of fascinating objects, information, interactives, and original artwork, and is open until 31st October. 

This October also sees an original Rodin sculpture of Gloucester-born poet W E Henley exhibited within the City Museum galleries.  The 'Invictus' exhibition opens on Friday 9th October and runs until Saturday 12th December.  The exhibition also features two portraits of Henley on loan from the National Portrait Gallery.

The Folk Museum's touring gallery explores the world of the Womens Institute, and celebrates 100 years since the Women's Voluntary Organisation formed.  With lots of fascinating items on display it's certainly worth a visit.


Gloucester-Spa Thanks to the national 'Your Paintings' project, the entire collection of oil paintings within the Gloucester Museums Service collection is now available to view online.

To view the collection visit Your Paintings| and search for 'Gloucester'.  Due to the size of the collection, we are not able to display all these works within the museums at any one time.  If you'd like to take a closer look at a particular piece you find online and are able to visit the museums, please let us know by emailing us at| and we may be able to arrange a viewing with the curator.

A collection of prints and postcards based on artworks in the collection will soon be available from both museum shops.  Please email us at the above address if you would like to pre-order specific prints.
